Mary Catherine Morrison was born on September 27, 1893 in Anderson County, South Carolina to James William and Cynthia Emma Pearl Morrison. Her marriage to Robert Franklin Adams produced four children : William George (1915-1923), James Virgil (1918-1999), Robert Wade (1923-2017), and Janie Belle (1924-2012). Katie, as well as her husband, Bob, worked in the textile mills. She also helped him with his photography studio and with the many other ventures he was involved in. Katie loved to read, was a fabulous cook, and had a talent for tinkering. She once took a radio completely apart, made improvements, and put it back together again better than ever. Katie passed away in Savannah, Georgia due to complications of diabetes. She was laid to rest in Silver brook Cemetery in Anderson , South Carolina.
