Mrs. Ira Roquet of Fremont dies

FREMONT (Special)—Mrs. Ira (Nellie) Roquet, 76, of northeast of Fremont died at 11:30 p.m. Friday at the Mahaska county, where she had been a patient for six weeks.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Fremont Methodist church, to be conducted by Rev. Eugene C. Sears. Burial will be in Cedar Township cemetery, with the Fremont funeral chapel in charge.

Mrs. Roquet was born Dec. 10, 1882, in Keokuk county as the daughter of John and Mary Elizabeth Pratt Webber. She was married on December 10, 1900, to Ira Roquet, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Flossie Ward of Clarendon Hill, Ill. And Mrs. Helen Proctor of Floris, Ia.; one son, Dale Roquet of Fremont; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Retta Papanick of Everett, Wash., and Mrs. Peace Koontz of Greeley Colo., and a half-sister, Mrs. Lola Surber of Ottumwa.

An infant daughter, Gertrude, and a number of brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
