Services for Wesley Y. Kappelman, 72, of Canoga Park, Calif., formerly of Des Moines, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Arnold's Highland Park, with burial in the Pine Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Kappelman died of a heart ailment Saturday in the Canoga Terrace Convalescent Hospital in Canoga Park after a lengthy illness.
A native of Polk County, Mr. Kappelman lived in the Des Moines area before moving to Canoga Park in 1968. He was a retired service station operator in California.
Survivors include his wife, Maude; four sons, William and John, both of Canoga Park, Donald of Glendora, Calif., and Herman of Carlisle; three daughters, Mrs. Grace Harris of Canoga Park, Mrs. Katherine Kersbergen of Covina, Calif., and Mrs. Darlene Wellington of Boise, Idaho; two sisters, Mrs Hazel Liming of Des Moines and Mrs. Dolly LaMar of Fort Dodge, and 12 grandchildren.
