Services for George Kappelman, 39, of 5710 Cornell St. will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Lilly Funeral Home. Burial will be at Pine Hill cemetery.

Mr Kappelman died Friday after an iron drawbar struck his head while he was attempting to fasten a road grading machine to a tractor. He was employed by Arthur H. Newmann & Sons, Inc, a paving concern.

Surviving are his wife, Fern, four children, Raymond, Betty, Eber and Gerald, one stepson Clinton McCue; two brothers, Harry and Wesley Kappelman, both of Des Moines; and three sisters, Mrs. Edna Haynes and Mrs Hazel Henderson, both of Des Moines and Mrs. Dollie LeMar of Fort Dodge, IA
