The second oldest of ten children, she was born to Rector O. and Gladys L. (Bigham) Lancaster on February 14, 1917, in La Grange, Texas. She has been an Austin resident since 1921, and married Ollie Brown on October 12, 1940.
She was baptized into the Lord's church in 1947 and was a faithful member of the Southwest (formerly Ford Village) church of Christ, from 1955 until three years ago, when physical health issues prevented her active participation.
She was a loving caregiver to anyone who needed her help (beginning in her childhood and continuing until shortly before her death).
Lois is survived by her daughter, Mildred ; granddaughter, Sherry ; grandsons, Keith and Scott and seven great grandchildren.
