Mathilda "Tillie" Boser was born on December 22, 1922 in Lastrup, MN to the late Michael and Antonia (Hourt) Janson. She grew up and attended country school in rural Lastrup. Tillie was united in marriage to Ferdinand "Fred" Boser on October 25, 1940. They resided in the Pierz area. Fred passed away on December 11, 1968. Tillie worked as a cook for St. Joseph's grade school and then as a nurses aid for St. Mary's Villa. She retired in 1982 after 25 years of employment. She loved to play bingo and cards. She also loved crocheting, embroidering, quilting, gardening, and spending time with her family. Tillie was a member of Pierz American Legion Auxiliary, TEC, faithful member of St. Joseph's Parish, and a Gold Medal Christian Mother. Many will remember Tillie for her many outside decorations for all the holidays as well as her quick wit and teasing nature.
She is survived by her son, Michael Boser of Pierz, MN; daughters, Josie Wentworth and husband Jim of Wisconsin, Annie Kahlhamer and husband LeRoy of Pierz, MN, Brigid Tunic and husband Joe of California, Irene Fiegen of Pierz, MN, Heddy Campbell and husband Gary of Brooklyn Center, MN, Mary Boser of Pierz, MN, and Susie Gall and husband David of Pierz, MN; brother, Alfred Janson and wife Eva of Pierz, MN; sister, Marie Jamma and husband Herman of Pierz, MN; 14 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Boser, 2 infant sons, sister, Lena Meyer, brothers, Walter, Leo, Leonard, Edward and Victor Janson.
