Edward Janson Rites Friday

Pierz - Edward Janson, 65, of Route 1, Hillman, died Tuesday at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls.

Born in the Pierz area on March 26, 1912, Mr. Janson is survived by his wife, Mary; two stepsons, John Korsten of California and Ray Korsten of Minneapolis; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Gerald (Rosemary) Wagner of Lastrup; two daughters, Mrs. Al (Leola) Welle of Lastrup and Mrs. Joe (Lois) Woitalla of Harding; four brothers, Leo of Harding and Leonard, Victor and Alfred, all of Pierz; two sisters, Mrs. Herman (Marie) Jamma and Matilda Boser, both of Pierz; 10 grandchildren, 10 stepgrandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy, and by a brother and a sister.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Church in Bulldog Lake. The Rev. Richard Oberstar will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call at the Brenny Funeral Home in Pierz after 3 p.m. Thursday. A parish prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, followed by the Knights of Columbus service at 9:15.
