Curtis W. Chamberlin, 79, Edmar Lane, Brockway, died Thursday, March 27, 2014, at his residence.
Born Nov. 19, 1934, in Munderf, he was the son of the late Ernest and Lydia Wingard Chamberlin.
He was married to Sally Carlson on Aug. 31, 1956. She survives.
Curt was a member of the Moorhead United Methodist Church in Brockway where he helped on a regular basis with the church's computer operations.
He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed visiting with his many amish friends, especially his adoptive amish family the Stoltzfus family.
Retired, he served for many years as the manager/treasurer of the Brockway Glass Federal Credit Union.
He is also survived by two daughters, Nancy Chamberlin of Brockway and Diane (Thomas G.) Welsh of Burlington, N.C.; one son, Jeffrey (Darlene) Chamberlin of Brockway; four grandchildren: Jennifer (Ryan) Croston, Nicholas Moore, Daniel Welsh and Jacob Moore; and two great grandchildren, Connor and Lylah Croston.
He is also survived by a niece, Lula May Ewig of Middleburg; as well as many other nieces and nephews, and his companion Chihuahua, Toby.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Everett and Fred Chamberlin; and two sisters, Elvira Frye and Dorothy Ryder.
Friends will be received from from 7-9 p.m. Sunday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dave Nagele and the Rev. Robert Trask officiating. Burial will follow in Temple Cemetery, Hazen.
