Son of Henry C. and Melissa Burr VanBuren and husband of Lillian [Updegraff] VanBuren (1865-1918). Father of 11 children. Was the Assistant Superintendent of the
Old Rolling Mills on the Maumee River until its closing during the depression of 1898. He boarded horses on the east side of Toledo and also was a crane operator for the Shaw Kendall Company of Toledo.
