Elizabeth "Betty" Ray Cromartie, 81, died Thursday, October 17, in St. Joseph's Hospital.
The Savannah native was a graduate of St. Vincent's Academy and was a communicate of St. St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. She was a member of the Daughters of Ireland and an avid bridge player and bridge teacher. She waas a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Cromartie.
Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, Vivian C. and John B. Anderson of Savannah, Beth C. and Bill Fishburne of Hilton Head Island, SC, and Susie C. and John G. Russell, Sr. of Savannah; sons and daughters-in-law, Donald R., Jr. and Dana Cromartie of Forsyth County, and M. Mahany and Cynthia Lamas Cromartie of Peachtree City; brothers, M. Mahany Ray of Dallas, TX and Charles R. Ray, Sr. of Savannah; grandchildren, Brian, Steve, Laurie and Angie Anderson of Savannah, Julie Anderson Paul of Savannah, Dane Cromartie of Forsythe County, Katherine and William Fishburne of Hilton Head Island, SC, John and Donald Russell of Savannah; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6:00-8:30 p.m. Friday, OCtober 18, St. Peter, in St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.
Christian Wake Services: 6:30 p.m. Friday, October 18, in St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 19, in St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with Father O'Brien officiating.
Burial: Catholic Cemetery.
