I have had a love of old graveyards since I was a child, often wandering though them|
and imagining the people who were buried there.
I strongly feel it is important to know who my ancestors were and their final resting places.
This site is a boon to genealogists and I use it often. I have had great response from others, including the folks at FAG, when a change or addition is needed.
Please feel free to use any photographs I have taken. No credit is necessary.
Most of my family interests center around South Carolina with the names of Nash, Boyd, Meadors, Wright, Jackson, Duvall, Ellerbe and Murchison. My husbands' families were originally from Tennessee and North Carolina with the names of Carter, Dickens, Miller, Williamson, Lambert, Rockholt, Parrish, Armstrong, Billue.

I had been waiting to take the photograph of her headstone and create her memorial once the headstone was engraved. I was surprised to see a memorial had already been created.
|William F. Heustess||Duncan Murchison & John Duncan Murchison|
I have a large family tree on Ancestry.com which traces people from the PeeDee region of eastern South Carolina. I am trying to distinguish between Find A Grave # 124353584 John Duncan Murchison ( 4 May 1826- 28 Feb 1892) who is buried in Louden Park Cemetery in Baltimore, Maryland and # 66128001 Duncan Murchison ( 28 Feb 1828 - 3 Sep 1892) buried in Murchison-Jackson Cemetery in Clio, SC. I have tried to sort them based upon Census records, spouses and offspring.
One of them, but not both of them, is the son of Alexander Murchison (1782-1843) and Margaret McRae (1799-1880). I believe the Duncan Murchison buried in Clio may be the son of Alexander and Margaret Murchison. To further muddy the waters, there are two or three people in the Carolinas named Alexander Murchison with birthdates in the 1790's. Any light you can shed on the two Duncan Murchisons will be greatly appreciated.

I see you have created a memorial for Marilyn. Are you a family member?

No wonder you treasure it! What a beautiful family she had!
So sorry to bring back memories tucked away. Our condolences, belatedly, on the loss of such a special mother!
|PATTY McFERREN-BLANTON & JR BLANTON||P.S.|
That is one "darling" photo at the top of your profile page! :)

We are so sorry for his loss. Pastors are hard to find anymore. Hope you can merge the 2 memorials and then delete ours.
Thank you for all your work. G Agee.
