|Flo Sawkins||Marinus Zegers|
I see your name attached to the Union Cemetary in Brooten, MN
I have strong reason to believe my great-grandfather Marinus Zegers (1863-19320 is buried there in an unmarked grave.
There was supposedly a map of this cemetary with a "Regers" in plot # 368.
Any info you may to help me find my great grandfather's grave would be very much appreciated.

When I couldn't find the grave the cemetery dug up the marker and send me a picture. I will go back over the weekend and try to get a better picture but I put on the one they sent in the meantime.

|Bonnie Mauritz||August Furst|
Cathy, there is a pending approval for August Furst Mem*127933790. I have edited to add his parents Christian (130096903) and Justine (130096970). The only explanation for the change to Fuerst would be the German language adds a E.
Their son Hermann Furst is also needing an approval.
If you have questions please contact me.

I see that you have taken over some of the Barry & Anderson graves. Are you blood-related at all?

Muenzer, Baby and Frank, yes I had used a spread sheet to add the memorials to the cemetery. Some one I know had been looking for information about a person or persons who where buried in this cemetery and she was given two files one for the old part and one for the new part. She did not have the time to put in any that she was not looking for so she offered me the spread sheets to add the names. If you notice both Muenzer memorials have plot locations. There is nothing on these lists that tells me if the grave has a grave marker or not. The lists also do not say anything about next of kin.

I am wondering if you have any relation at Penn? I noticed you have added quite a few of the memorials, and have serval photographs.
Glad to see somebody stepped in to add them all!!
My Dad, Grandpa, and Great-Grandpa have all gone through Penn, so it is a special place for me. Sad the church closed.
My goal is to get it 100% photographed by end of summer.
I look forward to hearing back from you!

|Lawrence H. Grunert||George Wetzel|
Cathy, Let me try to help. George was my wife's step mothers first husband and after she married my father-in-law she had her husbands remains transfered to Highland Memorial along with my mother-in-law remains,much to the anger of the three daughters. The Cemetery will not get you a plot # as they are all in the Moslumn(Sp). The lacation is as you enter travel to the left and it is the last row of vaults(outside) before you come to the main parking lot.
The vaults are towards the left top area about one or two rows down from the top. The names are placed with Frank Cumber,Edna Cumber 2nd row below is Ruby Cumber George Wetzel below that his Edna's grandson,-----Henssleey or something simular.
That is about as close as I can get to the spot. Remember LOOK UP...Peace....Lawrence

Hello! I would love to fill your photo request for the above named person. This particular cemetery is very "sluggish" shall we say about responding to my requests for location. If you would be willing to call them for the location, I would be able to fulfill your request in a much more timely manner. Their number is 920/733-6505. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Thank you so much for uploading the excellent picture of Margorie Ann's headstone. I was looking at her Memorial page this fall and noticed that it did not have a picture. I posted the earlier one with the flowers in front. It was not anywhere near the quality your picture is and I appreciate so much that you posted a much better one. Had Marjorie lived, she was my husbands Aunt. We live in far western Montana and it is harder to get there. Thanks again. If I can return the favor, I live in the Missoula MT area and have just started uploading pictures and I have created only one memorial page.
Thanks, Kathi McD

|Peter Joseph ("PJ") Braun||Danke Shoen for transfer of Herman & Elizabeth Vorgert memorials...|
Cathy... once again our paths cross as collaborators and as a result, I'm back to thank you so very much for BOTH initially creating these two Find A Grave memorials (for my maternal Great-Grandparents) AND for you kindness in transferring them over to my care. A bonus was that you took the time to remind me of our previous "conversations" and your connection to them.
I'll get busy later tonight adding life details and family links to "flesh out" what are OUR memorials. Thanks again, "PJ"

Yes the info is correct as it is first hand info.That was Edna Lenz's first husband, second one was Frank Cumber Jr. who is the father of my wife Sharon Cumber Grunert. There was more then one heated discussion as my wife nor their family were very happy at these events..LHG

I fulfilled your request for Emma - I needed to dig her out, first. I also discovered I left out a step in processing Albert's photo. I fixed that and uploaded the proper image.

|Stanley Nuehring||Karl Janzig|
I would appreciate - your time permitting - learning more about the writing on the gravestone of Karl Janzig, who I just learned this morning, appears to be my G2-Pa. My great-grandfather John (Lutheran minister in Guttenberg, IA for ca. 33 years at the beginning of the last century) and also pastored in MN. I shall assume it's in German, but I can't enlarge the picture provided under your guidance. I know my great-grandfather was born in what now is called Lutherstadt-Eisleben (just Eisleben back in Martin Luther's day). I need to put together a family tree re this side of my family, and anything you could share with me would be a most kind act. My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org. I'd be happy - if you can advise - to pay you back re documents you might have in German (my first doctorate is in that language) by translating them for you.

I can't actually remember if the vertical stones were there. Typically I would have taken all available. I was there for another purpose but recognized the last name and so I took these. I donít expect to be back there for a long time so I can't volunteer. However, I did add the lat/long so it wouldn't be too difficult to ask someone to check on it using a gps device (or a Find A Grave app on phone).

|Susan Morris||Sharing Photos|
I just wanted to say thank you for sharing the headstone photos. I just used two of yours in my tree and I credited you as requested. I always try to credit photos,its only right to do so. I am so glad you have this policy, I wish more folks did. It helps in trees and also to get the word out about findagrave. Thank you for your volunteer work. It is wonderful for us who live far away and can't get to all these cemeteries.

I will likely add the original message as well and have been putting that information in the "Note:" section lately instead of the "Bio:".
