RE: George Fletcher Clark Jr. and Evelyn Reisner
Hello,,I am sorry but this is the first message I received from you. I am from the Dittemore family, George and Evelyn were from John B. Dittamore and I am from two of his siblings, Lydia who married John Cotter were my 4th Great Grandparents, Adam who married my 5th Great Grandmother, Mary Berger Yeakley. Funny thing is that her children from both marriages even married and my Great Grandfather, Charlie King was from Adam and Mary too. My mother used to say "only in Missouri could this happen". I am interested in George Fletcher and Evelyn as I don't have much on them except three childrens names. I am making a last effort to actually finish the family tree, that is all the children of John Hartman Dittemore. In 1970 my family visited West Point Military Cemetery in New York and being nosie, I wanted to walt through the cemetery and I ran across his grave. I knew right away that he was one of us and that was one of the things that got me started. Anyway, here I am all these years later and it is time to put it up on roots and walk away. I already know others have found the one I put up in 2009 because I find the same major mistake I made back then repeated. It will be correced on this one. I just want to record all of us I can and let someone else keep the updates going. I don't remember just what I wrote to you but would like to hear from you.

I am taking a guess here, are you related to this family? You see, they were from the same family way up the tree. If you are, will you contact me.

Christian Gaiser
Thanks, I will try and get to the Christian Gaiser bio page to check the dates. You are correct in that there are somesome conflicting dates. I would tend to use primary records over carved gravestones as any of them could be in error.

Thanks so much. You work as late as I do. Its quieter at night. Family stories are that Coles Mitchel was a very large man, and the photos show that to be true.

Fairy Lippincott
memorial 134815950 Fairy Lippincott. You photographed her marker. You were curious of her relationship to Jennie Doup Snorf (memorial 90193557) as their markers were of same material. Fairy Lippincott is shown at same address as Jennie Doup Snorf in 1930 and 1940 census. In 1930 census she was listed as roomer and in 1940 was listed as servant.

RE: Margaret E. Welton
Agreed, parents of this Margaret E. are Ora & Mary Jane (Vandeventer-Songer) Welton. Marguerite E. born 1918/1919 on the 1920 & 1930 census looks to be the daughter of Homer and Gertrude (Childress) Welton. Gertrude died 1918. Homer's WW1 draft registration is Tazewell County, wife living but no child yet.

RE: Margaret E. Welton
Thank you, Bill. I wonder if Ms. Rhoads' info is for the daughter, Marguerite Eva/Eva Marguerite born in 1918/1919 and shown on the 1920 & 1930 census records? I do have detail on the son, James Lewis, but not the burial: born 7 Dec 1908 in Seven Hickory and died 19 Dec 1988 in Mattoon. Spouse: Helen Holze born 9 Dec 1906 in IL, died June 1985 in Mattoon.

While also confirming the Welton records, the main/missing piece I was trying to resolve is death & burial for Mary Jane's biological parents (Sarah Green & Jacob?? Vandeventer). Of specific interest is #45577832. Maiden name: Sarah Green. Married Masaic/Marion Larrison 20 Jul 1871. I already know that Mary Jane's brother, Noah, is buried in Champaign.

Will send you an email. Between the 3 of us, maybe we can resolve some missing family and burial detail. Thanks!
