Mrs. Margaret Ahrens, 78, 21 Glass Manor, South Hutchinson, was dead on arrival at Grace Hospital Thursday afternoon after suffering a sudden sickness in the unit block of West A.
She was born Oct. 14, 1890,in Beaver, KS. She married Samuel G. Ahrens,in Beaver, March 14, 1904, and lived in the Ellinwood community most of her life. Mr. Ahrens died 1939.
Mrs. Ahrens moved to Hutchinson in 1957. She was a member of the Sixth Avenue United Presbyterian Church.
Survivors are daughters, Mrs. Irene Robinson, South Hutchinson; Mrs. Virginia Gray, Wichita; sons, Robert, Pratt; Morris and Wayne, Ellinwood; LaVerne, Florence, Alab.; sisters, Mrs. Anna Reimann, Great Bend; and Ida Christians, Hoisington; brothers, Antone Christians, Wichita; and Chris Christians, Beaver; 17 grandchildren, one great grandchild.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Elliott Chapel, Rev. Robert Frisbee. A 3:30 p.m. graveside service is planned at the Ellinwood Cemetery, Ellinwood. -- From obit.
