GRAND RAPIDS -- Peter M. Piersma, 75, formerly of Holland, died Friday, June 12, 1998.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia, in 1995.

He is survived by his wife, June; his children, Lynn and Jan Jarvinen of LaCrosse, Wis., Ronald and Karen Piersma, Deb and Rick Gootjes and daughter-in-law Kathy Piersma, all of Grand Rapids; stepsons, David and Lynn Brown, Dale and Penny Brown; eight grandchildren; brothers, Clare and Bernice Piersma, Elton and Leigh Piersma, Les and MaryLou Piersma; sisters, Phyllis and Carl Dahlman, Mary and Ernest Leep; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Harriet and Elmer Deinlein, Harold E. and Anne Braam, Donald and Charlene Braam, Gerald and Catherine DeFouw, Vern and Ila DeFouw, Bob and Darlene DeFouw, and Esther, Effie and Myrtle DeFouw.

Memorial services are 1 p.m. Monday at Brookside Christian Reformed Church, with the Rev. Norm Meyer and the Rev. Elton Piersma officiating.

Private interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Zaagman Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Ave. S.E.

Memorials may be made to Brookside Christian Reformed Church Christian Education Fund.

Arrangements are by Zaagman Memorial Chapel.
