Cpl. Nevitt G. Benham of Brandenburg, Kentucky and Miss Mae Alston of Longville, Louisiana were united in marriage on August 25, 1953 at De Ridder, Louisiana. They will reside in De Ridder, Louisiana near Camp Polk where Mr. Benham is stationed. Nevitt is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Benham.


Mr. Nevitt Benham, age 75, Brandenburg, KY, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown, KY. Mr. Benham was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a retired maintenance foreman with Civil Service. He was preceded in death by his Son, John Matt Benham and 2 sisters, Pat Craig and Bonnie Raymer. Mr. Benham is survived by his wife, Edith Mae Benham, Brandenburg, KY, 3 Children, Bonita Tyler, Louisville, KY, LaRoy Benham, Brandenburg, KY, Joe Benham, LaGrange, KY, 2 Sisters, Velma Benham, Brandenburg, KY, Wanda Peter, Lansing, MI, 5 Grandchildren, Daniel, Matthew, Emily, Sarah and Nicole, and 2 Great Grandsons, Chesney and Nevon.
