He was born July 23, 1901 in Brandenburg, Meade County, Kentucky the son of Joseph Edward "Jodie" Benham and Ida Lois Wilson.
He was a member of Weldon Christian Church.
Mr. Benham is survived by his wife, Mary Alliene Trent Benham, five children, Mrs. Geneva Craig and Mrs. Wanda Strong of Lansing, Mich., Mrs. Bonnie Raymer of Louisville, Mrs. Velma Benham and Nevitt G. Benham of Brandenburg; a sister, Mrs. Dona McGill of Jeffersonville, Ind.; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, from the chapel of Hager Funeral Home,with the Revs. Gary True and Elmer Wheatley officiating. Burial was in Weldon Christian Church Cemetery.
