John Blilie, 87, long-time Redwood Falls resident, died Wednesday at Redwood county nursing home.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist church with Rev. F. J. Krueger officiating. Interment will be in Redwood Falls cemetery. Friends may call at Hoepner funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday and at the church Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service.
Mr. Blilie was born January 5, 1888 in Fremont, NE. He was raised by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Blilie, and later by the C.J. Farlees. He came to Minnesota in 1911, first to the Bissell place and later worked for A.C. Burmeister. For many years he did carpenter work and in later years, he did lock and door closure maintenance.
Survivors include daughters, Mrs. S.S. (Viola) Taylor of Colorado Springs and Mrs. George (Alice)( Skalicky of Blooming Prairie; five grandchildren and a half-sister, Mary Leonard of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He was preceded by his wife February 3, 1974; two sisters and a brother.
