Marguerite Marion Jarrell, born August 12, 1908 in Burlington, Vermont to Ezra L. and Louise Bordo, died June 13, 1997. Marion was a 1932 graduate of Oklahoma A&M College, where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She touched many lives in her years of teaching history and business courses at Classen High School and Central High School. She was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for 45 years, where she was a member of the Altar Society, the Young Sixites, and Catholic Daughters of America. She was an associate member of the Order of the Adorers of the Blood of Christ and a charter member of Companions in Caring nursing home volunteers.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Lt Col Robert L. Jarrell. Mrs. Jarrell is survived by her son, Dr. Robert L. Jarrell and his wife, Ann of Albuquerque, New Mexico; her daughter, Leitner and husband, Kenneth D. Greiner of Oklahoma City; 7 grandchildren, Bob, Sara and Greg Jarrell, Kathy and Larry Pierce, Don and Shellie Greiner, Jenny and Ray Burrell and Cheryl Greiner; 8 great grandchildren, Bretton, Wade, Leigha and Marianne Pierce, Joseph, Simon and Mary Jesse Greiner and Leitner Wilson. The family wishes to thank the staff and friends at St. Ann's who have lovingly cared for Mother, and to Good Shepherd Hospice who have gently helped us through this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for Rosary School Scholarship Fund, Oklahoma City, or Birth Choice of Oklahoma City. The Rosary will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at St. Anns Nursing Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 3:00 p.m. Monday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, with interment at Rose Hill Burial Park.
