Mr. Cecil C. King, 82 of Harrisburg, died Sunday in Harrisburg. He
was born March 27, 1919 in Ravendon to the late Mose and Bertha (Wilson)
King.
He was a retired carpenter, a WWII Army veteran and a member of
the First Baptist Church in Imboden.
In addition to his parents, Mr. King was preceded in death by his
wife, Sylvia (Morris) King; and infant son; three brothers, Marvin, John
and Jesse King; and one sister, Kathryn King.
Survivors include four sisters, Pearlie Hirsch of Ravendon, Thelma
Berry of O'Kean, Irene Baird of Williford and Maudie Leninger of
Schenectady, N.Y.; three brothers, Willie King, Claude King of Aurora,
Ill. and Luther King of Pocahontas; three sons, Claudia Carl King of
Burchtree, Mo., Donald E. King of Bono and George Wayne King of
Harrisburg; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was 3 p.m. Tuesday at Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Herndon officiating. Interment was in
Bolivar Cemetery near Harrisburg.
Pallbearers were his grandsons.
