MRS. GEORGE BOGAN
Mrs. George (Gladys C.) Bogan, 76, of 701 Lafayette St., died Sunday at Porter Memorial Hospital after a nine-month illness.
Born in Pratt County, Kansas, on August 16, 1895, she was a daughter of Noah and Sarah (Shockley) Bristow. On October 19, 1912, at Frankfort, she was married to George Bogan, who survives. A resident of Valparaiso since 1928, she was employed as a seamstress in the drapery department at Lowenstine's Department Store. She was a member of the Christian Science Church.
Surviving besides her husband are four sons, George K. and Charles R., both of Valparaiso, Frank O. of South Bend, and two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Sally) Affeld and Mrs. Merlin M. (Peggy Ann) Betz, both of Valparaiso, two brothers, John Bristow of Gary, and Seward Bristow of Tipton, a sister, Mrs. Azorah Daniels, Hobart, 22 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Agatha Marie.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wetmore Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard W. Howard, Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home until time of the services.
