Died February 20, 1907, at his home four miles west of this city, Vern LeRoy Cook, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Cook, at the age of nineteen years and two months.
The deceased was born near Clay Center December 27, 1888, and lived with his parents up to the time of his death. He was a good boy and loved by all who knew him best. Beautiful flowers, the gift of kind friends, were placed upon the casket. The funeral services were held on Friday, February 22, from the family residence, conducted by Rev. Humphrey of the Presbyterian church. A large number of carriages and buggies followed the remains to the last resting place in the Edgar cemetery. The sorrowing family have the sympathy of the entire community. The deceased leaves a father, mother, six brothers and two sisters to mourn his departure.
