It is only ASSUMED that Lorenzo is buried at Hill Cemetery. Lorenzo has no tombstone and there are no official burial records for Hill Cemetery. But the preponderance of evidence says that he IS buried there. It is known from his obituary that Lorenzo died literally "across the road" from Hill cemetery and his wife Susannah IS buried there. And finally there is the fact that no evidence has ever surfaced that he is buried anywhere else in Ohio. Lorenzo was the son of Edward & Sarah (Dilts) Dulin and he grew up on a family farm in Concord Township, Delaware County, OH. On January 2, 1851, Lorenzo was married to Susannah McKitrick. Lorenzo & Susannah parented three children between the years of 1852 & 1859: Erastus Fields Dulin, Ely O. Dulin, & Mary Viola Dulin. Following the 1860 death of wife Susannah, Lorenzo enlisted in the 20th Ohio Volunteer Infantry for a three-month tour of duty in what is now West Virginia. On November 7, 1861, Lorenzo was married to Esther (a.k.a. "Hester") Palen, daughter of Thomas & Louisa (Abrams) Palen. Lorenzo & Esther parented seven children between the years of 1862 - 1874: Sarah Dulin, Josephine Dulin, Anna Luetta Dulin, Edward S. Dulin, Franklin "Frank" P. Dulin, Bertha Dulin, & Samuel Alfred Dulin. On August 12, 1862, Lorenzo enlisted in the 113th Ohio Volunteer Infantry for a three-year term. Following the war, Lorenzo & family lived in Franklin County, OH, and in Hardin County, OH. In April of 1881, fifty-year-old Lorenzo returned to Delaware County, OH, and died shortly thereafter in the care of his unmarried son Ely. There is no evidence that wife Esther came with Lorenzo. She is presumed to have died in Hardin County. Lorenzo's wanderings (under various misspellings of his surname) can be partially traced in Ohio using the following federal censuses:

1850 Concord Township, Delaware County
1860 Washington Township, Shelby County
1870 Washington Township, Franklin County
1880 Ward 2, Kenton, Hardin County
