He was the son of John Clyde and Lizzie Lee Herndon Randle, and widow of Ruth Hoyle Randle.
He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
John was a farmer.
He was also preceded in death by a son, the Rev. Dale Randle, and a sister, Elizabeth R. Clay.
