DYKSTERHOUSE - Clara (Breen, Selvius), aged 96, of Jenison. Surrounded by her family, our precious mom, grandma, great-grandma, and sister, Clare, went to her eternal home on Sunday, October 11, 2009, to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John R. Selvius and Henry Dyksterhouse; her parents, Jessie and Kryn Breen; two sisters; seven brothers; a son-in-law, Robert DeVries; two great-grandchildren, Wyatt DeVries and Payton Franks. She will be missed by all who love her. She leaves behind her two daughters, Jan (DeVries) Essenburg and husband, Jack, Karen Knol and husband, Richard; nine grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bernice Meulenburg, Alma VandenBos; and brother, Ray (Gerry) Breen; as well as many nieces and nephews. The Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, October 15, at Jenison Bible Church, 6360 14th Ave., Hudsonville, with Pastor Lee Buer, Pastor Robert DeVries, and Pastor Dan DeVries officiating. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Jenison Bible Church Mission Fund.
