She was married to William Worden Pauley & Abraham R. Hollingsworth.

Elizabeth is the oldest daughter and second child of James and Keziah Marsh. She was born 1852 in Madison, Ohio. As a very young child she migrates with her family from Ohio to Clinton Co. OH, to Vermilion Co., IN and back to Clinton Co over a ten year period as her mother has a new baby on a regular basis. Elizabeth probably grows up as the big sister/mother. In 1873 Elizabeth marries William Worden (1850-1883). William has served in the Union Army as a very young teenager. His father died in 1860 and his mother remarries. This couple has no children and he dies in 1883 after a lengthy illness possibly from typhoid fever. Elizabeth remarries Abraham Hollingsworth on 28 Dec 1888. A Civil War veteran, it appears he may have "nerve" problems. This marriage lasts about ten years when it looks as if Abraham leaves Elizabeth to live in Indianapolis. The 1900 census lists Elizabeth as a widow with two boarders living with her. Elizabeth Hollingsworth wrote on application to the Indiana Soldier's Home 23 Nov 1911; "she did not know where he (husband) was; his pension was $12/mo; she had no pension or means of support; no children; only property was her wearing apparel". Her eligibility for admission to the Soldier's Home stated "she is the wife of an Indiana (Civil War) veteran who is absent from supporting her for 14 years; she is suffering from kidney & nerve trouble; she is willing to help with reasonable amount of work at the home." Family contacts are listed. Elizabeth lives at the Indiana Soldier's Home in Lafayette, Indiana for about 19 years until her death 28 Jun 1927. The Home has a box of her remaining belongings. She is buried in Buntin Cemetery, Clinton County, Indiana.
