Mrs. Affleck was the second wife of James Affleck, and was a member of one of the oldest families in St. Clair county. She had been in feeble health for some time, and a complete breakdown followed the recent demise of her husband.
She leaves four children to mourn for her. They are:

Benjamin F. Affleck
Edward G. Affleck
Miss Susan Affleck
(One daughter, Mrs. Cora Stewart, wife of Frank, preceded her in death)
The funeral took place Thursday afternoon from the home of her step-daughter, Mrs. A. J. Wilderman, to Green Mount Cemetery. Rev. Gallaher of the Presbyterian Church conducted the services.

The funeral of Mrs. Anna E. Affleck, widow of the late James Affleck, who died at 7 o'clock on Wednesday evening, took place at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon from the house of ex-Circuit Judge Alonzo S. Wilderman, on Mascoutah avenue, to Green Mount Cemetery. The services were conducted by Rev. J. A. Gallaher, pastor of the Presbyterian Church. The pallbearers were Messrs. John Heinzelman, Cyrus Thompson, James A. Bornman, Edward W West, Jr., Julius J. Heidinger and James McQuilkin.
