November 30, 1932 - February 19, 2020 Marlene Abbott, age 87, of London, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital in London.
She leaves behind two children, Dan Abbott & wife Diane of Lexington, Kentucky and Donna Robinson & husband Howard of Haines City, Florida; four grandchildren, Shannon Robinson, Quincy Robinson, Corey Robinson, Amy Cornell; five great grandchildren, Hadley Robinson, Noah Robinson, Natalie Cornell, Era Robinson, Minerva Robinson, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Conward Earl Abbott; her parents, Charles and Iva Belt; three siblings, Loa Kendrick, Ned Belt, and Bill Belt.
Marlene was a member of First Baptist Church in London where she also taught Sunday School along with her husband Conward. She worked for over 20 years as a bookkeeper for Blanton Lumber and also worked at Bob's Ready-to-Wear.
Funeral services for Marlene Abbott will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Jerry Wright officiating. Burial will follow at the A. R. Dyche Memorial Park in London. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 22, 2020 beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
