Minnie died in 1902. He moved the family then to Banner Co, NE, and North Platte before settling in Canon City, CO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Minnie, son, Elmer (1901), his sisters, Cynthia Walls, Amanda Nuss, and brothers, John, Albert, and Arthur.
