Minnie was born in Germany but at only a few weeks old, she came with her parents to Erie, PA, living there one year when they moved to Livingstone Co., IL. From IL they moved to NE in 1885. She married EE Bloomfield on Dec. 1, 1887. She was the mother to Clay, Lenoran and Elmer Ellsworth (who preceded her in death).

There is no headstone for Minnie, records show she is buried next to her son, Elmer.

"Mrs. Minnie Bloomfield, wife of E. E. Bloomfield, died at her home in District
No. 25, Thursday morning, March 27, after an illness of several months. The
funeral services were conducted by Rev. Boyd of the Bethel Chapel church, and
interment was had in the Gibbon cemetery.

Mrs. Bloomfield (Minnie Gross) was born in Germany April 18, 1868. When she was a few weeks old her parents removed to Erie, Pa., living there one year and then removing to Livingston county, Ill. In 1885 they removed to Nebraska. Miss Gross was married to E. E. Bloomfield December 1, 1881.

Three children were born to them, Clay, Lenorah and Elmer Elsworth, the latter preceding her to the better land one year previous to her death. She was confirmed in the Lutheran church at fourteen, lived a consistent christian life and was a kind neighbor and an effectionate wife and mother."
