Note from edit suggester:
I have done a fair amount of research on the family of James and Emily Geers. There are multiple records that show that these are Effie's parents. Effie appears on the 1870 and 1880 census with them - she is 2 years old on the 1870 census and 12 on the 1880 census so actually born in 1868. Her older sister Ella appears on the 1870 census as well. (Ella married In 1874 so is with her husband on the 1880 census).

I have uploaded obituaries to James and Emily Geers both of which list all of their surviving children - James' lists her as Effie Baumgartner and Emily's lists her as F A Baumgartner (it appears the newspaper got the initials wrong).
I have also uploaded obituaries to Frank, Ella, Saphronia, Horace, Emily, and Leslie all of them name Effie Baumgartner (or Mrs B Baumgartner) as a surviving Sister.
In addition I uploaded an obituary to John B Veach. His obituary states he is survived by a wife but no children. (I'm guessing his lack of children is why several of Ella's siblings including Effie gave the name Veach to some of their children)
As I mention above Ella's obituary names Mrs B Baumgartner as one of her 2 surviving sisters. There are no children listed as surviving her.

Lastly I uploaded a newspaper clipping about Effie's marriage to B Baumgartner which lists the parents of the bride as Mr and Mrs James Geers.

I believe I've seen her death certificate but unfortunately can not find it again. As I recall it gave incorrect names for her parents - however this is not particularly unusual as the person giving the information may not know the correct info or may be so distressed that they can not think clearly.

I have resubmitted the suggested edits that you previously declined based on the above information as I feel it clearly shows Effie Baumgartner was the daughter of James and Emily Geers and the sister (not daughter) of Ella Geers Veach.

Thank you
Melissa

P S If you use FamilySearch.org Effie Geers identifier number is 2W7J-GQM. The 1870 and 1880 census records which show her with her family are attached to her there. And I have uploaded all the above obituaries there as well.
Unfortunately I can not send copies of the census records through findagrave as it does not allow photos or documents to be attached in this message system
