Our beloved Arvel Jameson Taylor, age 90, died January 2, 2003 in Richfield, Utah.

He was born September 14, 1912 in Loa, Utah, a son of Allen and Lula May Jameson Taylor. He married Nellie Hambin Brinkerhoff, August 31, 1940 in Junction, Utah. She died November 3, 1981. He married Naomi Berniece Lott Ross, July 20, 1982 in the Provo LDS Temple.

Arvel was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in the Sunday School Presidency and the Bishopric. He was a farmer and dairyman in Wayne County. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time in his Jeep on the Parker Mountain. He also enjoyed being with and spending time with his wonderful family members.

He is survived by his wife, Naomi, of Richfield; step-children: E. James (Jim) and Virginia Brinkerhoff, George Arvin and Toni Brinkerhoff, all of Salt Lake City; Ina B. Peterson of Santa Marie, CA; JoAnn and William Pew of Orem; Duane and Sandi Ross, Craig and Vicki Ross, Mark and Diane Ross, Sherrie Ross, all of Richfield; 27 step-grandchildren; 46 step-great-grand-children; 18 step-great-great-grand-children; brothers and sisters: Lawrence Taylor, Pasadena, CA; Afton Taylor, Loa; Mildred Beardall, Stanley Taylor and Lowell J. Taylor, all of Orem; Richard Taylor, Payson and Winona Peterson, West Valley City. He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers: Merle Taylor, Laura Malmstrom, Elva Taylor, Lyman Taylor, Wendell Taylor and Cassell Taylor.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 6, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in the Richfield 8th LDS Ward Chapel, 200 East Center in Richfield. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 260 North 400 West in Richfield, Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the ward chapel Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services.

Graveside services and burial will be Monday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in the Loa Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
