Sarah Elizabeth Allen, 86, a resident of Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Somerset, died Sunday, July 2, 2000. She was born August 5, 1913 in Burnside, Ky., a daughter of the late Sampson and Lily Belle Starnes. She was a loving mother and a housewife. She was of the Baptist faith. ... She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Allen; two sons, Charles Allen and Cecil Douglas Allen; four daughters, Mary Lou Allen, Jo Allen, Frankie Allen, and Dorothy Lee Allen; one sister, Naioma Starnes; and several brothers.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 5 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. J.S. New officiating. Burial will be in Somerset Cemetery.
