Lois Ann Allen, 56 years of age, of Somerset, Kentucky departed this life on Friday, January 18th, 2013 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Lois was born in Somerset, Kentucky on February 9th, 1956, daughter of the late Robert and Sarah Starnes Allen. Lois was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Lois was survived by one daughter, Tracy Adams of Somerset, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Austin Scott Adams and Courtney Lynn Adams, whom she loved dearly; three brothers, LeRoy Allen, James Allen, and Robert (and Janice) Allen, all of Somerset, Kentucky; many nieces and nephews; a good friend, Brandy Keith of Somerset, Kentucky; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Sarah Allen; four sisters, Lillie Mae Vaughn, Catherine Woodall, Francis Allen, and Josephine Allen; two brothers, Charles Allen and William Allen; and a sister-in-law, Doris Allen.
Visitations were held on Tuesday, January 22nd, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.
Her pallbearers were: Jimmy Allen, Shawn Compton, Chad Allen, Chris Allen, Andrew Casada, and James Allen.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday, January 22nd, 2013 at 12:00 noon at the Somerset City Cemetery with Bro. Randy C Wiles officiating.
Burial followed in the Somerset City Cemetery.
