Frances (Fanny) Kate Stull Philipp was the daughter of John Thomas and Mary Susan Long Stull. She was born near Waynesboro, PA. Records show she first married Charles C. Summer of Leitersburg, Md. on 28 Jun 1886. Charles died at age 27 in 1890.
In the 1890s, she moved to Denver, CO with her two sisters Jennie and Lillian, and she married Alvin I. Philipp (from Wisconsin) at Boulder, CO in 1896. In the early 1900s, they moved to Santa Clara, CA.
