Lillie, along with her sisters Frances (m. Alvin Philipp, Santa Clara, CA) and Jennie (m. George W. Casey, Denver/Leadville, CO) traveled to Denver to live in the mid 1890s. Their younger brother John Alfred Stull also lived with them in Denver for a few years.
In 1896 (license dated August 1), Lillie married Theodore H. Kruse (born in Illinois). Theo was a bookbinder in Denver for many years.
In December 1902, Lillie and Theo had a baby, Maxine Teele Kruse.
In September 1903, a co-worker of Theo's shot and killed Lillie at her home in Denver.
Maxine was raised by Theo and her aunt (Theo's sister) Charlotte Kruse (m. Ruggles). In 1909, Theo killed himself, after which Charlotte and her husband eventually adopted Maxine.
