PHILIPSBURG - Lois M. Blake, 93, passed away at 5:55 a.m. on Sunday, May 25, 2014, at the Windy Hill Village.Born on April 25, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Minnie (Magill) Morrissey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William W. "Toad" Blake, whom she married on Aug. 4, 1941.Lois is survived by: daughters, Sandra Pinto and fiance, Don Cartwright, of Houtzdale, Joyce Christman and husband, Chuck, of Lewistown, and Margaret Sanders and husband, Richard, of Loganton; sons, William Blake, of Geneseo, N.Y., and Don Blake and wife, Jill, of Philipsburg; sister, Hannah Isenburg, of Tyrone; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by: an infant son, Robert Wilson Blake; a great-grandson, Patrick Rishel; four brothers; and five sisters.She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Philipsburg. Mrs. Blake loved cooking, gardening, volunteering in her church and spending time with her family.Lois was a homemaker and mother.A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2014, at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, Philipsburg. Interment will take place at the Philipsburg Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, at the funeral home.If friends desire, memorial contributions in Lois's name may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Philipsburg, 509 Presqueisle St., Philipsburg, PA 16866.
