Gladys Raling, 92, a resident of Colonial Courtyard, Tyrone, for the past five years, died Friday at the Altoona Center for Nursing Care. She was born in Tyrone to Frank & Minnie Daugherty (Magill) Morrissey. She was formerly married to the late Harrison George Raling. Surviving are a son, Harrison K. & wife, Patricia, of Tyrone RD 1; a daughter, Marion L. Robison of Port Matilda; 7 grandchildren: Harrison E. and Karen Raling, Joan M. and Steve Lucas, Michael W. and Becky Raling, Barbara Turner, Elizabeth Richner, Norman Robison Jr. and David and Bobbi Jo Robison; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 3 sisters: Margaret Harper of Bald Eagle, Tyrone RD 3, Hannah Isenberg of Tyrone and Lois Blake of Philipsburg; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 4 brothers: John, William, Wilbur and Robert and 2 sisters: Mary Maule and Ruth Davidson. She was a member of Tyrone Church of the Brethren and enjoyed crocheting and quilting. Over the years, she was employed at Mike's Cut Rate, Jo-Mar Restaurant, Engelman's Greenhouse and Jack Harpsters Store. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the noon funeral service Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, at Derman Funeral Home, Tyrone. Interment, Blair Memorial Park.
