Bernice Little Bryant, 98, of Frenchburg, Kentucky passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Edgewood Estates, Frenchburg, KY. She was born on November 18, 1916 to James E. Little and Lena Denniston Little in Denniston, KY. She married Raymond Bryant in 1931. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Bryant, sons James Donald Bryant and Raymond Bruce Bryant and a sister, Beatrice Little Dennis and brother Danny Little.
Bernice is survived by a brother Cleatus (Jewel) Little, Mt. Sterling, KY and sister, Lucille Little Murphy, Ezel, KY. She is also survived by seven children, Wanda Warren, Lexington, KY Harold (Rose) Bryant), Frenchburg, KY, Ival (Linda ) Bryant, Frenchburg, KY, Edward (Ruth) Bryant, Frenchburg, KY, Merle (Kathy) Bryant, Berea, KY, Margaret (Harry) Lentz, Tulsa, OK and Anita (John) Fugate, Hershey, PA., And daughter-in-law, Barbara M. Bryant, of Chicago, IL. She is survived by 28 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church Frenchburg, KY and attended the Bethel Baptist Church, Frenchburg, KY.
Visitation will be at 6:00 p.m. at Menifee Home for Funerals, Frenchburg, KY on Friday, January 9th, followed by a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, January 10th at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, Frenchburg, KY with Pastor Tim Rhodes officiating. Burial Service will be at the Ezel Cemetery, Ezel, KY. Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Bernice had accepted Jesus into her life many years ago and cherished her Lord and Savior. Bernice was a co-owner of Bryant’s Market at Mariba, KY., where she worked for several years. She was also a Homemaker and a member of the Eastern Star.
