Joseph William 'Jay' Hollacher was born in St. Anthony's Hospital, Oklahoma City February 28, 1941. He attended Eugene Field Elementary, Roosevelt Junior High and Classen High School Oklahoma City. He graduated from Bryan Adams High School, Dallas, Texas. After attending junior college, he was employed for 40 years by Western Electric Company, AT&T and Lucent Technology Corporation in Dallas. During retirement he procured and sold new and antique firearms and knives. Accomplished in air gun competitions, he reached Masters Level. He enjoyed his Harley and the Corvette he wanted since high school.
Jay passed away July 26, 2005. Jay was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Walter Hollacher (1908-1972). He is succeeded by his mother and stepfather, Virginia and Victor Darnell, Oklahoma City; sister, Joy Beers, Tulsa; son, Joey Hollacher, San Diego; and daughter, Susan, husband Kevin and daughter, Kelsey, Dallas. Funeral services will be held in the Rose Hill Mausoleum Chapel, Rose Hill Burial Park, October 15, 2005.
