Mrs. Lillian C. Henry of 422 W. Lakewood Ave., Peoria, 78, died Monday in Proctor Hospital where she was admitted Saturday.
She was the widow of Albert R. Henry, to whom she was married in Virginia October 4, 1916. She was born in Lewis, Iowa, December 6, 1883, a daughter of Frank and Clarissa Meecham Cutler, and had spent most of her life in Princeville until moving to Peoria 10 years ago to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. O. R. (Ruth) Prosser of the Lakewood Avenue address.
A 50-year member of the Presbyterian Church, Mrs. Henry recently had been a member of the Arcadia Avenue church. She also was a member of the Women's Guild of the church and the Order of Easter Star, having held prominent offices in these groups. She recently celebrated her 60-year membership in the Union Grove Chapter OES, in Princeville. She also was a member of the Auxiliary of the Peoria Four-County Rural Letter Carriers Association.
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Prosser, and one granddaughter, Susan Prosser.
Funeral services were held in the Bouton Memorial Home in Princeville, with Rev. E. L. Fernandes of Arcadia Avenue Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial was in the Princeville Cemetery.
