Denison. The 1930 U.S. Census shows him living in Porter, Wagoner County, Oklahoma with his wife and the following children: son Ernest, age 11; son Robert, age 9; son Donald, age 7; and son James, Jr. Also living with the family is James' mother Mary Jane Gilbert, age 74. The 1940 U.S. Census records the family as still living in Porter, Oklahoma. The family members include James and Iva, and sons Robert, Donald and Jimmy, with the addition of daughter Wilma and son Jesse.
