Rolene J. Drews, 73, of Fremont, Nebraska, died Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at her home in Fremont.
Rolene was born November 13, 1939, in Wisner, Nebraska, to Rollin and Linda (Heller) Bradfield. She grew up on a farm in Beemer, Nebraska and graduated from high school in Beemer. She moved to Fremont, Nebraska in 1957. Rolene married Larry Drews on December 11, 1959 at Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont.
Rolene worked at the former Campbell Soup Company in Fremont. She later worked for Tek Services in Fremont, and retired in 2006. Rolene was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Fremont. She enjoyed bible study and serving her church was very important to her. She was a member of the USBC and was an avid bowler. She enjoyed being on a golf league and was a champion of throwing horseshoes.
Rolene is survived by her husband, Larry, of Fremont; sons, Robin, Rollie, and Russell Drews, all of Fremont; daughter, Lori Drews and fiancé' Doug Heller of Beemer, Nebraska; brothers, Virgil and wife Jean Bradfield of Beemer, Dale and wife Dorothy Bradfield of Burlison, Tennessee, Lyle and wife Nancy Bradfield of Beemer, and Rollin Jr. and wife Karen Bradfield of Lexington, Nebraska; sisters, Delva Brokaw of Bancroft, Nebraska, and Shirley Brockemeier, of West Point, Nebraska; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Rolene was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Daniel Bradfield; and brother in law, Walter Brockemeier.
The memorial service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 26, 2013, at the Church of the Nazarene in Fremont with the Rev. Tom Shaw officiating. Family will receive friends for a book signing on Friday, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.
