Delva was born July 5, 1934 in West Point, NE to Rollin E. and Linda (Heller) Bradfield. She was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church in Beemer, NE and confirmed at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church on March 30, 1947. Delva attended Immanuel Lutheran School in Beemer, NE. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Pender and the ladies aid, enjoyed playing cards at the Bancroft Senior Center, as well as sewing cooking and quilting. She also loved gardening and spoiling all of her grandchildren. Delva was passionate about volunteering and donated over 300 quilts in one year to the Orphan Grain Train. She was very passionate about volunteering and caring for others.

Delva is proceeded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Janet; infant son, Michael; grandson Nathan Brokaw, sisters, Shirley and Walter Broekemeier, Rolene Drews; infant brother, Daniel; sisters-in-law Dorothy Bradfield and Mary Bradfield.
