Funeral Services for Mrs Christine Burks, age 68, of Cullman, were held on 24 Jun 1997 at New Hope Baptist Church #2, with interment in the adjoining cemetery. Reverend Ralph McGowan and Dewey Briscoe were the officiating ministers. Raley- McCracken Funeral Home directed.
Mrs Burks was born on 23 Oct 1928 to the late T A Anders and Emily Mays Anders in Morgan Co. She passed away on 21 Jun 1997 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. Mrs Burks was a domestic homemaker.
Survivors include: husband, Oye Burks; sons, David Burks of Cullman and Terry Burks of Falkville; one daughter, Vicky Harp of Cullman: brothers, Hobert, Miles and Burton Anders, all of Cullman; sisters, Opal Collins of Cullman, Elnora Wood of Pontiac, Michigan; and three grandchildren.
