Mr. James Robert Buffington, age 65 of Trinity Cove, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at his residence in Trinity. Mr. Buffington was born October 19, 1943 in Crockett, Texas and had been living in Trinity for the past 27 years. He was a member of the Pennington Baptist Church and retired from the Texas Department of Corrections having worked as an engineer.
Survivors include his wife Patricia Worthy, of Trinity Cove; sons Bobby Buffington, of Pennington and Lane Alexander and wife Tonya, of Hempstead; daughters Sheila Buffington, of Trinity and Sheri Buffington, of Dallas; grandchildren Chelsie Buffington, of Waveland, Miss., Indya Gahand, of Riverside, Jessica Weber, J. D. Weber, Kalen Weber, all of Texarkana and Heather Franks, of Houston; mother Ernestine Buffington, of Pennington; sister Kathy Robertson and husband Gaston, of Pennington; brother Bill Buffington, of Pennington; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceded in death by his father Robert Richard Buffington; and grandmother Hallie Buffington.
