Blanche A. Brackettleyson, 83 of Somonauk, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on July 8, 2002. She was born on April 28, 1919 to the late Charles and Jennie Brown in Morris, IL.
She is survived by her ten children, Richard L. (Nellie) Harper of Aurora, IL, Lucille (Johnnie) Perriman of San Antonio, TX, Pally Wolher of Somonauk, IL, Henry (Peggy) Harper of AL, James W. (Carol) Harper of Earlville, IL, Goldie Mae Wolfe of Kingston, IL, Helena (Dennis) Green of Des Moines, IA, Sonia Brackettleyson of Plano, IL, Paul R. (Jeanette) Harper of West Burlington, IA and Carlton Brackettleyson of Aurora, IL; three sisters, Myrtle (James) Peterson of Streator, IL, Dorothy Dudak of Streator, IL and Rosetta (Jack) Baxter of Ottawa, IL; her loving 28 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Woodrow Harper; her second husband, Charles Brackettleyson; her children, Charles Brackettleyson, Jr. in 1987 and Betty Jean Harper in 1949.
Funeral services will be held at the Church of the Nazarene, Sandwich, IL at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 12 with the Reverend Steven Shotts officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Mound Cemetery, Somonauk, IL.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 11 from 5-8 at the Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry St., Sandwich, IL.
