North Ogden Resident Dies
NORTH OGDEN, April 6, Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Toone Berrett, 80, early settler, died today at the home of a daughter. Mrs. John Q. Blaylock after an illness of two years. Mrs. Berrett was born Nov 7, 1857, in Lamberth, London England, to Edward and Caroline Jackson Toone. she came to America, a convert to the L.D.S. church, in 1876, settling in Salt Lake City, where she resided two years. She then moved to North Ogden.
She married Richard Thomas Berrett Feb 14, 1878, in the Salt Lake Endowment House. She was a member of the Relief society. When younger she spent a great deal of time administering to the sick. her husband died Jul 15, 1922, in North Ogden.
She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Blaylock, Thomas F. Berrett, North Ogden; Walter H. Berrett, Preston, Idaho; Orson T. Berrett, Roy, Earl R. Berrett, Salt Lake City; Mrs. George A. Lyon, Logan; by 31 grandchildren, and 25 great - grandchildren, and the following stepchildren: Mrs. Rose Crandall, Ogden; Richard E. Berrrett, Pleasant View, and Mrs. Alice Irwin of Idaho falls, Ida. A brother A. L. Toone, live in North Ogden, and a sister A.R. Ford in Ogden:
SERVICE FRIDAY
Services will be held Friday at two p.m. in the L.D.S. chapel, wtih Bishop Harold S. Campbell officiating. Friends may call at the home of Mrs. Blaylock, Thursday afternoon and evening and Friday until time of services. Interment will be made in North Ogden cemetery under direction of Lindquist & Sons.
