Annisteen Bartley, 78, of Elkhorn City, died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010, at Pikeville Medical Center.

She was born in Pike County, Oct. 16, 1931, the daughter of the late Matthew and (Pet) Vinia Belcher Hylton.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Powells Creek Holiness Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Lee Bartley; two sons, Russell Allen Bartley and Herbert Junior Bartley; five brothers, Dempsey Hylton, Damon Hylton, Juness Hylton, Alden Hylton and Maness Hylton; and four sisters, Lessie Blackburn, Eula Williams, Wealthia Grindstaff and Lola Bartley.

She is survived by two sons, Randall Wayne Bartley of Elkhorn City and Roger Lee Bartley of Robinson Creek; three daughters, Cathy Lavonne Bartley and Lora Marie Brown, both of Pikeville, Loretta Faye Clevinger of Ashcamp; one brother, Oliver Hylton of Paris, Ill.; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Nelson Damron and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Bartley Cemetery, Marrowbone. Arrangements are under direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Elkhorn City.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. Friday, with special services at 7 p.m.
