Emaline C. Barler, 92, of Monticello Senior Home in Monticello, Iowa, formerly of Princeville, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 1990, at Anamosa Community Hospital in Anamosa, Iowa.
Born Dec. 20, 1897, in Princeville to James E. and Anna McCarty Cunningham, she married Harry M. Barler in 1920 in Princeville. He died July 23, 1974. She also was preceded in death by four sister, one brother and one great-granddaughter.
She and her husband resided in Stark County and farmed southeast of Wyoming from 1920 to 1945.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Bernice Helle of Ottawa and Eileen Pettit of Bradford, eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was a former member and choir member of St. Mary's of the Woods Catholic Church in Princeville.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, Oct. 24, at St. Mary's of the Woods Cemetery. The Rev. David Roche officiated. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
